History

Coffee

Coffee, from Kingdom of Kaffa from Ethiopia, Kahva in Turkey, Qahwa in Arabic is from Africa but took shape in Arabia to its present form.

“Coffee” is the reason for many public gatherings and coffee houses in earlier days were called as “Gahvah Khaneh” and paved way for larger social activities in the past. There were occasions some leaders in the past across world had at times banned coffee houses to control activities.

The International Coffee Organisation tells us in the 1600’s the Dutch were growing coffee in the Indian Island of Malabar and they were responsible to spread the Aroma of Coffee across the continents including America.
